R4R Fall 2024 Fly-Fishing Tournament

September 19-22, 2024

in Almont, Colorado

Our fall event is on the calendar! We only accept a limited number of people, and the Risers 4 Rett events usually sell out fast, so don’t wait too long to register.

The event includes the following:

  • Lodging at the cozy Almont Resort or Three Rivers Resort

  • Delicious food & drinks: breakfast, lunch and dinner, including beverages

  • Access to world-class private waters

  • Professional and highly experienced fishing guides

  • Fabulous awards for winners

  • Welcome bag with apparel and other very cool industry-related items

Location

Almont, Colorado, is where the East River and the Taylor River meet to form the mighty Gunnison! The beauty here is unsurpassed…no wonder it’s one of Colorado’s premier fishing spots!

Located just outside Gunnison, Colorado, at the beautiful Almont Resort and the Three Rivers Resort, our event is one to remember—fundraising has never been so beautiful and relaxing. Thanks to our fly fishing partners, we can access top-notch guides and breathtaking views of trout-rich waters!

A portion of the event might happen on US. Forest Service land.

Preliminary schedule

The event encompasses three amazing days of fishing, eating, socializing and relaxing.

Thursday: All teams check in Thursday afternoon at the Almont Resort in Almont, Colorado. Settle into your riverside lodging (included in your event fee) before joining us for cocktails and dinner (also included), starting at 6:30 p.m. in the event building of the Resort. You can cast a few lines that evening right at the resort while meeting the other participants. As a bonus, you will also receive a welcome packet and gift bag with items from some of the most respected brands in the fly fishing industry.

Friday: On Friday morning, teams are assigned stunning river locations, and the fishing begins! All teams will have access to amazing stretches on the Gunnison River, East River and Taylor River. While our base camp is the Almont Resort, we are fortunate (and thankful!) that the owners of Three Rivers Resort are supporting our event by offering access to their pristine private waters. The fishing here is legendary!

Friday night concludes with dinner and drinks (included), followed by a silent and live auction with a professional auctioneer.

Saturday: For your second full day on the river, teams will continue to rotate fishing locations in the morning and afternoon. We’ll have an awards ceremony with dinner and drinks (included) as awards are handed out on Saturday night.

Sunday: Pack up, fist bump friends (new and old) and head safely home.

Fee

The entrance fee is $1750/person or $3500 as a team.

Charity being supported by this event

Risers 4 Rett’s main purpose is to raise funds for the Rett Clinic at the Children's Hospital Colorado. The Clinic requires a minimum of $100,000/year to support Rett families. One of our top goals when establishing this Clinic was to provide a place where the doctors come to the patients, not vice versa. So Rett Families conveniently stay in one. But besides the convenience, we also wanted to provide a variety, a multidisciplinary Clinic. For one afternoon, we bring together up to 15 sub-specialty providers and therapists to provide a comprehensive evaluation for your child. Only a handful of Rett Clinics in the US and people from all over the world are coming to this Clinic. For more info, click here.

The Rett Clinic was a well-oiled machine, where doctors, therapists, nutritionists, social workers and nurses gave suggestions on how to improve Tatum’s quality of life.
