Risers 4 Rett is part of the Rocky Mountain Rett Association (RMRA). Rett Syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects young girls, mostly through loss of speech and motor control. Rett can severely disrupt breathing and eating, cause skeletal deformities and physical seizures, and leads to tremendous emotional duress. As you can imagine, Rett presents many challenges to patients and their families. Fortunately they receive love, therapy and assistance through the Rett Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado.

Risers 4 Rett hosts two annual Fly Fishing Tournaments to benefit the Rocky Mountain Rett Association. You and a friend can form a team for a fun competition with other teams. Don’t have a teammate? We’ll pair you up at the event with another “a-fish-ionado”! The tournaments take place in the world-class waters of the Gunnison, Taylor and East Rivers.

Risers 4 Rett is an annual charity fly fishing tournament to raise funds for the Rett Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Two-person teams are invited to this all-inclusive event held every spring and fall. Over the course of two and a half days, teams are treated to guided float trips, private river access and food and beverages. The Gunnison area offers some of the most prized fishing spots in the state of Colorado. Come and see for yourself!

Risers 4 Rett was started by a group of avid anglers in 2013 and is happening now twice a year. Its main purpose is raising funds for the Rett Clinic at the Children's Hospital Colorado. The clinic requires a minimum of $75,000/year to provide support to Rett families. At our events, we welcome all levels of fly fishers (beginners to advanced). If you cannot participate in one of our events, please consider giving a monetary contribution to support this cause.
