Clean the Dream 2022

Committee members and volunteers from Risers4Rett were in full force at the 7th annual Clean the Dream event on August 27th, 2022. Over 200 outdoor enthusiasts joined Landon Mayer and Brandon Kramer on a beautiful Colorado morning to pick up trash and protect the environment.

The cleanup took place on a section of the South Platte River known as "The Dream Stream" along with the Antero Reservoir and Spinney Reservoir located in the Charlie Meyers State Wildlife Area. The morning started out with coffee and donuts and volunteers were provided with large trash bags. Volunteers then disbursed to designated areas to begin the cleanup. Tires, bottles and cans along with barbed wire were among the many items returned to the meeting area. All volunteers received a raffle ticket after dropping off their filled trash bags. A BBQ lunch was provided while a drawing for high quality fishing and non fishing prizes were raffled off.

Risers4Rett is proud to partner with Clean the Dream and the fly fishing community in protecting the resource that allows us to enjoy our favorite sport. We hope you can join us next year!
