Fun, camaraderie, and lots of great fishing!
Risers 4 Rett is a fundraising arm for Rocky Mountain Rett Association. We host three events each year:
Two Fly Fishing Tournaments, one in the spring and one in the fall, where teams have a fun competition with other teams. The tournaments occur in the world-class waters of the Gunnison, Taylor and East River in Almont, Colorado.
A womenโs fly fishing event to create a time and space for women to enjoy the outdoors and gather together in a fun and healthy setting.
NOTE: R4Rโs Womenโs Fly-Fishing event will take a creative pause in 2026. Weโll be using this time to thoughtfully reimagine and elevate the experienceโexploring new ideas and opportunities to ensure it remains inspiring, meaningful, and a highโimpact fundraiser for RMRA. We canโt wait to bring you an even more memorable event in 2027!
Whether you are a fishing novice or an expert, our events are about learning and relaxing while supporting a good cause. Itโs all about โDo what you love to help someone else.โ for R4R that means itโs helping maintain the Rett Clinic at Childrenโs Hospital Colorado.
WHY WE DO IT?
Fighting Rett Syndrome
Rett Syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects young children, mostly through loss of speech and motor control.
Rett can severely disrupt breathing and eating, cause skeletal deformities and physical seizures, and lead to tremendous emotional duress. As you can imagine, Rett presents many challenges to patients and their families. Fortunately, they receive love, therapy and assistance through the Rett Clinic at Childrenโs Hospital Colorado.
All proceeds from Risers 4 Rett events go to Rocky Mountain Rett Association and the Rett Clinic at Childrenโs Hospital Colorado.

One of RMRAโs main tasks is maintaining the Rett Clinic at Childrenโs Hospital Colorado.
Accessibility is one of our top goals. In our Rett Clinic, Rett Families conveniently stay in one room, and the doctors come to the patients, not vice versa. Variety is also essential!
Our Rett Clinic is multidisciplinary. For one afternoon, we bring together up to 15 sub-specialty providers and therapists to offer a comprehensive evaluation for your child.
