Risers 4 Rett Spring Tournament Reels in Near-Record Results

The Risers 4 Rett Spring 2024 Fly Fishing Tournament was a tremendous success, raising an incredible $186,000 for the Rett Clinic at Children's Hospital Colorado. 28 teams gathered in Almont, CO, April 25-28, to cast their lines for a cause and celebrate the 10th anniversary of Risers 4 Rett. Congratulations to this year’s winning team, Medium Action Home Brothers, Chris Anderson and Chris Cole!

This year's tournament was marked by a vibrant energy and a shared commitment to making a difference for Rett families and the Rett Clinic at Children’s Hospital. The presence of Riser’s pioneers Orlin Camerlo and Tim Moore added a special touch, as Tim presented Orlin with an award acknowledging his vision and dedication to creating this incredible fundraiser ten years ago.

Beyond the competition, the weekend was filled with unforgettable moments. Live music from Shawn Nelson and Kory Montgomery set the mood, while The Almont Resort staff and R4R team provided a feast of smoked salmon, ribs, brisket, and more. The margarita machine was a crowd favorite, expertly manned by the ever-cheerful Steve Riddle and Jon Volek. This year, R4R left their mark like never before - we branded our logo on the wall of The Almont Resort!

Of course, the real highlight was the camaraderie and shared passion for fly fishing. The tournament was a chance for anglers to connect with each other and enjoy the stunning scenery of Almont and surrounding areas.

The Risers 4 Rett team is thrilled with the success of the Spring Tournament and is well on the way to reaching the annual goal of $550,000. Fall spots are still available for the upcoming tournament, so head over to the Fall Tournament page and join us in the fight against Rett Syndrome.

We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the sponsors, participants, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making this year's Risers 4 Rett Spring Tournament a huge success. We look forward to seeing you all again in the fall!
